To warn ships for underwater rocks, a lighthouse spreads a red colored light over an angle of 80 degrees forming a sector to a distance measuring 16500 m. Find the area over which the ships are warned.

Take pi= 3.14. Express area in kilometers squared.

Area of Sector = 1/2(r)^2 x theta where "theta" is in radian.

Thus, A = (theta/360°)pi(r)^2 to convert in degrees.

A = 189.97 sq. Km by distributing all given data.
