At a moment

Maren has two thermometers hanging on the wall next to each other: one showing C , ^\circ \text{C}, and the other F . ^\circ \text{F}. One day, she stumbles upon something very rare: the two thermometers are showing exactly the same numerical measures!

What is this number?

Here's how to covert from Celcius to Fahrenheit:

t ( F ) = t ( C ) 1 , 8 + 32 t_{(^\circ F)} = t_{(^\circ C)} \cdot 1,8 + 32

So, a C = a F a^\circ C = a^\circ F

a 1 , 8 + 32 = a a \cdot 1,8 + 32 = a

a 1 , 8 a = 32 a \cdot 1,8 - a = -32

a 0 , 8 = 32 a \cdot 0,8 = -32

a = 40 a = -40

Oh wait, where is she living?
