when t=0 then s=2 * 0^2 + 5 * 0 +1 = 1 feet , when t=10 then s= 2 * 10 ^ 2 + 5 * 10 + 1 = 151 feet . so total distance cover in first 10s is=(151-1)=150 feet . so avg velocity=150/10=15 feet/sec
