Christophe, a French baker is pedaling through his beautiful village, humming the "Marseillaise", with a basket full of fresh baguettes. He is stopped by one of his best customers, Brigitte, who buys half of his loaves plus half a loaf. Then the local priest, Father Albert, stops him and does the same - he buys half Christophe's stock and further half a baguette. Finally a young boy, Vincet repeats the order - half Christophe's bread plus half a loaf more. Christophe is delighted - he has sold all his bread, and yet has not had to break a baguette. Can you work out how this is possible, and how many loaves he must have started with?
Enter your answer as the number of loaves he started with.
