Balancing Coins

It is very difficult to balance coins on their edge. However, when a magnet is used, this becomes much easier, as seen above.

What best explains this?

Due to the magnetic field, the coins made of iron get magnetised by induction and align themselves like (NS)-(NS)...-(NS)-[N S]. As the field gets gets weaker it becomes difficult to stack more coins
