In a box there are 9 balls, 5 of them are white balls and 4 others are red balls so i decided to take 3 balls from the box. What is the probabilty i get at least 1 red ball?

Required probability = 1 1 - probability of taken all white balls

= 1 − 5 C 3 9 C 3 = 1 − 5 42 = 37 42 =1-\frac{^5C_{3}}{^9C_{3}}=1-\frac{5}{42}=\boxed{\frac{37}{42}}
