You(student) are about to investigate the general term of a particular recurrence sequence, which is $u_{n+1}=3u_{n}+4$ and it is given that $u_{1}=2$ .

By using induction method, you've tried $4 \cdot 3^{n-1}-2$ and checked only $u_{1}$ term. Sadly, one of your maths teacher insists that "You have to check for the initial terms which is 'both' $u_{1}$ and $u_{2}$ ".
