One baseball bat and one baseball ball cost a total of $1.10 (one dollar and ten cents). If the bat costs one dollar more than the ball, how much will the ball cost?

$0.15 (fifteen cents) $0.05 (five cents) $0.10 (ten cents) $0.07 (seven cents)

Since the ball costs $0.05, the price of the bat would be the original price of the ball ($0.05), plus the extra dollar, inquired in the question.

        $0.05+($1+$0.05) = $1.10
