A student dropped a pH \text{pH} paper strip in a tube containing distilled water, as expected it showed green color. But then the student added some salt ( N a C l ) (\ce{NaCl}) into the test tube containing distilled water. Now again he dipped the pH \text{pH} strip in that solution. What color will the pH \text{pH} strip show now?

The color of the strip will remain G r e e n \color{#20A900}{Green} because N a C l NaCl is a neutral salt and thus will not affect it's p H pH

Aaa, it misinterpreted it as sodium hydroxide :(. Nice question btw.

Sodium Chloride is neither acid nor a base so the P H v a l u e P^H value is 7 so when it is mixed with water P H P^H paper turns into Green colour
