in first equation 3 objects are identical lets say cylinders are "A" so 3A=24 ie A=8 now let "+" symbol in second equation be "B" so putting A in equation (2) we get A+B=25 ie 8+B=25 ie B=17. now let the third symbol be "C". So putting this value in equation (3) we get B-C=8 ie 17-C=8..so C=9. Therefore adding A,B,and C we get 34 from the (4) equation. Hence solved
