Relevant wiki: Euler's Totient Function

Fraction m n \dfrac mn , where m m and n n are positive integers and m < n m < n , is proper when m m and n n are coprime integers.

Therefore the number of positive proper fractions with n n as denominator is the number of coprime integers of n n smaller than n n or the Euler's totient function ϕ ( n ) \phi (n) . For n = 75 n=75 , we have ϕ ( 75 ) = 75 × 2 3 × 4 5 = 40 \phi (75) = 75 \times \dfrac 23 \times \dfrac 45 = \boxed{40} .

@EKENE FRANKLIN , when numbers appear on their own and not in a formula or equation as in this case, they don't need to be in LaTex. It distracts less to read only one font.
