Let the numbers be x , x + 1 , x + 2 , x + 3 , x + 4 x, x+1, x+2, x+3, x+4 .
So, x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 = 500 5 x + 10 = 500 5 x = 490 x = 98 x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 = 500\\ 5x + 10 = 500\\ 5x = 490\\ x = \color{#69047E}{\boxed{98}}

x+(x+1)+(x+2)+(x+3)+(x+4))=500
5 x + 10 = 500
x = 98
x + 4 = 102 (Ans.)
