Block With A Charge

A block of mass 'm' and charge 'q' is suspended with the use of a spring from an infinitely long rod of charge having a constant linear charge density 'λ'. If the spring constant of the spring is 'K', the system exists on Earth, and the relative permittivity of the atmosphere is ε, find the extension in the spring at equilibrium.

m g λ π ε R K \frac{mg - \frac{λ}{πεR}}{K} m g K \frac{mg}{K} m g q λ 4 π ε R K \frac{mg - \frac{qλ}{4πεR}}{K} m g q λ 2 π ε R K \frac{mg - \frac{qλ}{2πεR}}{K}
