Since the problem is how many chocolates Bob had, focus on the number of chocolate bars he gave and received. Bob has 20 chocolate bars. He gave four. 20 - 4 = 16

Bot gave 2 to Bob 16 + 2 = 18

Bob gave 3 18 - 3 = 15

The 4 chocolates that Bot gave is for his father, not to Bob. So Bob has now 15 chocolate bars.

let bob = b b and bot = t t ; according to given condition :

b = 20 4 + 2 3 = > 15 ; b= 20-4+2-3=> 15;

t = 16 + 4 2 4 = > 14 t=16+4-2-4=>14

so 15 is our answer .

Bob started with 20 20 chocolate bars and Bot started with 16 16 chocolate bars.

Bob = 20 - 4 + 2 - 3 = 15

Bot = 16 + 4 - 2 - 4 = 14
