The absolute value of each of the five numbers is: 3 = 3 |-3| = 3 , 5 = 5 |5| = 5 , 2 = 2 |2| = 2 , 10 = 10 |-10| = 10 and 9 = 9 |9| = 9 . Thus the largest absolute value is 10 = 10 |-10| = 10 .
