Boiling alcohols!

Chemistry Level 1

Consider the two pure compounds(pure also means without water molecules, here) g l y c e r o l glycerol and g l y c o l glycol .

Which has more boiling point?

Molecular formula of g l y c e r o l glycerol is C 3 H 9 O 3 C_{3}H_{9}O_{3}

Molecular formula of g l y c o l glycol is C 2 H 6 O 2 C_{2}H_{6}O_{2}

Both have same Boiling point G l y c o l Glycol They don't have boiling point G l y c e r o l Glycerol

Due to more intermolecular hydrogen bonding in glycerol, glycerol has more boiling point.

I think its larger size also increases the boiling point. Isn't it?
