Super Books book printing company can print 1 book in 2 min. Book Masters book printing company can print 1 book in 4 min. If they work together, how many books can they print in 40 min?

Super Books can print 1 book in 2 min, so it can print 2 books in 4 min. Thus, Super Books and Book Masters together can print 3 books in 4 min. 40 divided by 4 is 10 so 3 times 10 is 30.

Book masters-4 min.
Together- reciprocal of (1/2 +1/4).
= reciprocal of 3/4.
=4/3.



40min / (4/3)= 30 books

In 20 min. super books prints 10 books while book master prints 5 books..similarly in next 20 min. they print the same no. of books hence total=5+5+10+10=30

super 1 book 2 minutes, so in 40 minutes print 20. master 1 book 4 minutes, so in 40 minutes print 10. total=20+10=30

40 ÷ 2 = 20 books for the Super Books co. & 40 ÷ 4 = 10 books for the Masters Book co. Then there sum are 30 Books
