Using Venn diagrams. S-3 and S-2 are not supported by the statements. It does not indicate ANY or none of Manga are comics. It is erroneous to make that assumption in either direction. Using the statements and definition above, you can conclude that no comics are manga. Your answer might be wrong, but according to the information provided, with no assumptions, it is definite no manga are comics. There is no room for uncertainty is this type of question. The more correct answer is not enough information.

Not mentioning the relation between comics and manga directly doesn't make S-2 and S-3 wrong.
The lack of information is what makes it uncertain ... and since there is no option says "not enough information" so the next best answer is "Not necessarily" because it gives room for other options which I referred to as S-2 & S-3, and once we acquire that missing piece of information we'll then be certain under what category comics falls as whole or part if it.
And for that it's not definite that no manga are comics (you are making an assumption here) for all of you know is they are both related to books.

The problem is that the question asks if the statements "directly imply" that all comics are manga, to which the answer is no, since, although the possibility of their relationship is ambiguous, there is no statement that would lead one to think that.
There is no assumption. Lets re-write the question in more precise language. You need to change the phrase "directly imply" into one word. The word they are trying to use this statement to mean is "prove." So...... All comics are books. Some books are manga. Do these two statements prove the statement that "all comics are manga?" Since there is not enough information to prove it one way or another, the phrase "Does it prove the statement that all comics are manga" is certainly false. The question is not about the statement. The question is about an ANSWER to the statement. So asking the corollary question "does the statement prove the status of comics and manga in any way?" The answer is certainly not.
The statement isn't about the correct answer, the question is about a certain answer. The question is the does statement "DIRECTLY" imply that all comics are manga. Reworded it says "does the statement definitively say all comics are manga." Since there is not enough information, the statement "definitely does not" imply that. The question isn't about the correct answer of the statement, the question is does that statement definitely say this or that. It Definitely does not say that. The question is poorly written.
All A=C Some C are B. Does this statement directly/definitively state all comics are manga. Since there is not enough information, the statement all books are manga is certainly false. It is the vagueness of the English language that trips this one up.
It's actually an Euler diagram, not a Venn diagram. I used to mix the two up as well.
Your pictures incorrectly assume all manga are books.

You are right, pfft silly me :) I should have made the Mangas' figure only intersects the books' figure, although it won't change the outcome
I'm pretty sure only Japanese comics are called manga, like the comic version of anime. So not all comics are manga, I know for sure that deadpool comics aren't manga...
The books that are manga may not be the books that are comic. You should draw a Venn diagram for easier comprehension.
Yes, approach by Venn diagram makes it easy to visualize this. Do you mind posting a picture of it?
It says that all comics are books, and SOME books are manga, but that doesn't necessarily mean that all comics are manga, because it states that some books are manga.
Comics are books; Mangas are also books, But Comics need not be Magna

This phrasing gives room to 3 scenarios .. so the uncertainty is the dominant answer
