Algebra Level 1

Ashish loves studying but only when he has a huge collection of chocolates with him. So he wants to buy some books along with chocolates. If one book costs $10.7 and one chocolate costs $4.9, which is the best estimate for the cost of 5 books and 50 chocolates?

First of all thank you sir. The books were good and the chocolate were yummy.

SOLUTION \text {SOLUTION} :-
Cost of 5 5 books = 5 × 10.7 = $ 53.5 5 × 10.7 = \$53.5
Cost of 50 50 chocolates = 4.9 × 50 = $ 245 4.9 × 50 = \$245
\therefore Total cost = 245 + 53.5 = 298.5 $ 300 245 + 53.5 = 298.5 \approx \$\boxed{300} .

Thanks for the solution!
