Boring Party , Interesting play!

There are some members in a big party.The members find the party boring and start leaving the party.At first 1 member leaves the party next 2, next 3, so on.Interestingly another play was also going on the same day. The total number of members in that play was the sum of members present in the party added to the individual sum of members left after successive members walked out of the party. If the total number of members in the play were 3818 and 22 members left the party at last, find the total number of members in the party.
