Note that the = sign is used to indicate equality in math.
But what you had wrote is:
1 = 2
2 = 42
3 = 84
Please correct it.

No you didn't understand that I had Used the equality notation ( = ) To showed that which step has contiend which information about solution. But then I used this notaion ( : ) .
50-8=42
5 0 4 2 = 1 0 0 8 4 = 8 4 % .
5 0 5 0 − 8 × 1 0 0 = 5 0 4 2 × 1 0 0 = 8 4 %

s t e p 1 : 1 0 0 / 5 0 = 2
s t e p 2 : 5 0 − 8 = 4 2
s t e p 3 : 4 2 × 2 = 8 4
Hence The answer is 8 4
