Geometry Level 2

Find the maximum volume of a cone that can be carved out of a solid hemisphere of radius "r".

2/3 22/7 r r r 1/3 * 22/7 * r r r 1/3* 22/7* r 1/3* 22/7 r r

The cone of max volume has radius = r and height = r.

so, max volume of cone (1/3 x pi x r^2 x h) = 1/3 x pi x r^2 x r = 1/3 x 22/7 x r x r x r.
