Well i will say that this question is really ridiculous. I thought when lines coincide then the distance between them is obviously 0 but I want to ask a clarification that if lines coincide then are they parallel??

its Minimum distance between their POINTS For two parallel lines, it is the perpendicular distance from a point on one line to the other line. SO they INTERSECT in this CASE to calculate the MINIMUM distance.. intersecting lines have ZER0 distance
