Two taps A and B can fill a tank in 10 hours and 15 hours respectively. If both the taps are opened simultaneously, how much time will be taken to fill the tank ?

  1. Tap A will fill 1/10 tank in 1 hour
  2. Tap B will fill 1/15 tank in 1 hour
  3. Combined they would fill 1/10 + 1/15 = `1/6 tank in 1 hour.
  4. So it would take 6 hours to fill when both are open
