let R be the radius of the bigger circle and r that of the smaller one. Now, we know that: (pie) R R= (pie) r r 16 since r=3.5 , as d=7 (given), (pie) *R R= (pie) 3.5 3.5 16 cancelling (pie) from both sides and taking root, R = 4 3.5 = 14 therefore, 2 (pie) R = 2* 22/7*14 the answer comes to 88.
