Due to there being one more day than a multiple of 7 days in a year, the date of Christmas (December 25th) gets pushed by one day every year. However, due to 2020 being a leap year, it gets pushed two days. Eventually, in 2 0 2 3 , the number of days pushed is 7, so December 25th once again lands on Monday. Note that if December 25th lands on Monday, so must January 1st (because they are 7 days apart).
