But how did you go there?

I went to an alien planet and discovered a math graffiti in their sculpture:

( 2 + 5 ) × ( 2 + 5 ) = 25. (2 + 5)\times(2 + 5) = 25 .

This calculation is valid in what number base?

The answer is 22.

( 5 + 2 ) × ( 2 + 5 ) = 7 × 7 = 4 9 10 = 2 × b a s e + 5 (5 + 2) \times (2 + 5) = 7 \times 7 = 49_{10} = 2 \times base +5

2 × b a s e = 44 2 \times base = 44

The b a s e = 22 base = 22

What even is a base ? This is the first time i heard of it
