Mr. Beilein walks 1 0 0 2 meters from his house to the first corner, an identical distance from the last corner back to his house, and along 3 sides of the square (600 m) going from hive 1 to hive 2 to hive 3 to hive 4. So total = 6 0 0 + 2 0 0 2 meters, or 882.84 m.
