In the following puzzle, numbers are arranged in a 3×3 square. These numbers satisfy 3 horizontal and 3 vertical relations. Each letter represents a digit (one of 0,1,2,...,9). Equal letters represent equal digits, different letters represent different digits. Find the value of D?
BA - A = BD
+ + +
BA - A = BD
= = =
AC - C = AD
(I don't understand why the operation signs are in weird positions, but I hope you understand what I am trying to say. If you don't, then comment and I will tell you.)

We have B A − A = B D , A C − C = A D , and B D + B D = A D . The only possible answer for D is 0 .
If you want to solve the entire puzzle, we find that C = 2 A = 4 B < 1 0 , and so we get that either A = 2 , B = 1 , C = 4 , D = 0 or A = 4 , B = 2 , C = 8 , D = 0 .
