Largest 4 digit square = 9 9 2 99^2 = 9801 9801 . There is one 9 and one 0 surrounding 8 and 1 in the end.

Largest 6 digit square = 99 9 2 999^2 = 998001 998001 . There are two 9 and two 0 surrounding 8 ad 1 in the end.

Largest 8 digit square = 999 9 2 9999^2 = 99980001 99980001 . There are three 9 and three 0 surrounding 8 and 1 in the end.

So, largest 32 digit square = 999999999999999 9 2 9999999999999999^2 . It will have fifteen 9 and fifteen 0 surrounding 8 and 1 in the end.
