Integrating the function, we get the equation 1/3 (x+1)^3 . Substituting in 2, we get 9 and substituting in 5 we get 72. Subtracting these, we get 63.

I'm not working on the problem with you. Please refrain from using first person plural. Also, every step of your problem contains a gerund as the subject--that's frustrating.
