Can this disappear like this?

Algebra Level 2

Let f ( x ) f(x) be a function defined as f ( x ) = 1 / ( 1 x ) f(x)=1/(1-x)

What is the value of f ( f ( f ( x ) ) ) f(f(f(x))) .

If f ( x ) = 1 1 x f(x) = \frac{1}{1-x} , then ( f ( f ( x ) ) ) = 1 1 ( 1 1 x ) (f(f(x))) = \frac{1}{1- (\frac{1}{1-x})} Solving this we get,

( f ( f ( x ) ) ) = 1 x x (f(f(x))) = \frac{1-x}{-x}

Again replacing this with x x in f ( x ) f(x) , we get,

f ( f ( f ( x ) ) ) = 1 1 ( 1 x x ) f(f(f(x))) = \frac{1}{1-(\frac{1-x}{-x})}

Ultimately, solving this will fetch the answer which is f ( f ( f ( x ) ) ) = x \boxed {f(f(f(x))) = x}

Yeah that's a good one dude
