72 and 360 s both divisible by 72 \text{72 and 360 s both divisible by 72}

so,the highest common factor of 72 and 360 is =72 \text{so,the highest common factor of 72 and 360 is =72 }

72 is not divisible by 360. 72 360 = 0.2 \frac{72}{360} = 0.2 .

  • The prime factorization of 72 is 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3
  • The prime factorization of 360 is 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 5
  • To find the gcf, multiply all the prime factors common to both numbers: 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3
  • GCF is 72

360 is divisible by 72. Hence the GCD is 72.
