To form a three digit number we have to fill up 3 places and this can be done in 4 × 4 × 4 4\times4\times4 ways.

Hence , the answer is 64 64 .

Excuse me... but I think your question said that digits can be repeated.

Yes the digits can be repeated. That's why the answer is 64 64 . Can i know what your doubt is ????? If any mistake is committed by me please feel free to correct me !!!!!!
