$x + y$ $=$ $\sqrt{36}$ $=$ $6$

$x$ $+$ $5x$ $=$ $6$

$6x$ $=$ $6$

$x$ $=$ $1$

$y$ $=$ $5x$ $=$ $5$ $*$ $1$ $=$ $5$
