Might help to add 'find x in inches'. That side was given in feet, so expressed it in feet and lost a chance in the process.

Same as Guiseppil Butel just retyping.
12 + ( 12 11 120 x ) 2 x = 390. 11 240 x 2 12 x + 390 = 0 x = 12 ± 1 2 2 4 11 240 390 2 11 240 + s i g n d i s c a r d e d a n d x = 38.0215 \dfrac{12 + (12 - \frac {11}{120}*x)} 2 *x=390.\\ \implies\ \frac {11}{240}*x^2 -12x +390=0 \\ x=\dfrac{12\ \pm\ \sqrt{12^2 - 4* \frac {11}{240}*390}}{2*\frac {11}{240}} \\ +\ sign\ discarded\ and \ x\ =\ 38.0215
