A woodcutter chops down a log of 20m and he applies 500N to lift off one side of the log. Then what is the weight of the log?
Note: Assume that the log has a uniform cylindrical shape. There is no need for the Unit(N) in your answer.

simply we can calculate it using the principle of moment. As it has a uniform cylindrical shape, so the center of mass would be in the middle which is 10m away from both edges. Now, Clockwise moment=Anticlockwise moment. =>500N times 20m=Weight times 10m =>Weight=10000/10 =>Weight=1000N.
