Can't I Calculate It Directly?

0. 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 + 0. 0 1 2 3 1 2 3 0 \large{\begin{array}{cccccccc} &0 .& 1 & 2& 3 & 1&2& 3 & 1&\ldots\\ +&0. & 0 & 1& 2 & 3&1& 2 & 3&\ldots\\ \hline \phantom0\\ \hline \end{array}}

The above shows an incomplete columnar addition of the two fractions 123 999 \dfrac{123}{999} and 123 9990 \dfrac{123}{9990} when written in decimal representation.

What is the value of 12 × 10101 + 123 × 1001 12\times10101 + 123\times1001 ?

The answer is 244335.

@Pi Han Goh I think the columnar addition you showed is 123 999 \dfrac{123}{999} and 123 9990 \dfrac{123}{9990} ......

Hahaha fixed!

We shall apply bodmas rule here. Firstly, multiply the terms and then add them

12×10101 + 123×1001

121212 + 123123
