Assume that the second car will pass the first after x x hours

The distance covered by car A = ( x + 1 ) × 30 = (x +1) \times 30

The distance covered by car B ( 40 × x ) (40 \times x)

then ( x + 1 ) × 30 = ( 40 × x ) (x +1) \times 30 = (40 \times x)

Solve for x x ---> x = 3 x = 3

Both cars will meet @ time = (9 +3+1) = 13:00
