Let total distance be x miles. So , jack drove first 40 miles and then x-50 miles. In total he drove x-10 miles. Now Jill drove x-40 miles and on return trip he drove 50 miles. In total he drove x+10 miles. Now , obviously x+10>x-10 So Jill drove more miles
