Card Luck

Logic Level 2

Allison, Beatrice, and Cassidy are playing a card game called twenty-one. The goal is to get your card numbers to add up to as close or equal to 21, but if the cards added to a number higher than 21, you'd lose. The three girls are playing with 40 cards, four labeled one, four labeled two, four labeled three, and so on, until four labeled ten. Right now Allison had her cards added up to 19 by 10+9, Beatrice's added up to 17 by 3 fours and one five, and Cassidy's added up to 15 by 2 sevens and 1 one. If all three girls have to draw one or two cards to add to their current sum, who has the highest chance of not getting busted, or letting their sums go over 21? (Assume that all of the players want themselves to win.)

Cassidy Beatrice Allison

All of the players would pick one card to give themselves a higher chance of surviving, or not getting busted. Since Cassidy has the lowest sum currently, she has the most number cards in the deck that will save her from bust.
