At a business company, parking spaces were reserved for the top executives : CEO, President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer with spaces lined up in that order.The parking lot guard can tell at a glance, if the cars are parked correctly by seeing at the color of the car.The colors are red, green, purple, yellow and blue, and the executive names are Arron, Bob, Calvin, David and Eric.

  1. Car in the first place in Red
  2. A blue car is parked between red and green.
  3. The car in last place is Purple
  4. The secretary drives a yellow car
  5. Arron's car is parked next to David
  6. Eric drives a Green car
  7. Bob's car is placed between Calvin's and Eric's.
  8. David's Car is parked in last place.

Through this given information, who is the secretary of the company?

Ok, I think that the best way for the solving this problem is table. I already made one for you.


Ok, we have 8 facts. I think that the first four facts is clearly sure. So here is the table after adding information of the first four facts.


Now we skip the fifth fact and useful fact is 6, se add it to the table. Okay again skip the next fact, and write to the table the last fact.

Now here is the table:


Finally we can use the remaining fact. (actually only 5th fact :D )

If we add the 5th fact we have the answer. Because the fact say: Arron's car is parked next to David And we know that David park in the last place, from that we can determinate the he has a purple car. And from the fact: next to David is Arron, so Arron has a Yellow car, and from the 4th fact: Yellow car owns Sacretary officer.

And that's it! :D
