Every of the "Spiral Disaster" is the consequence of sudden decrease in temperature. Briefly the mechanism is:
Sea water evaporates acquiring thermal energy from sunlight.
When the surrounding's temperature drops, it applies for water vapor as well. To be more precise, environment's temperature drops actually when vapor coolens.
Sometimes, two winds coming from opposite direction start swirling around themselves. These tropical winds contain a significant amount of vapor.
While spinning, vapor releases its thermal energy and coolens eventually. Where this energy goes?
It gets transformed into Rotational Kinetic Energy of the dangerously spiral cloud. The more vapor release heat, the greater the angular momentum becomes, subsequently resulting in a hurricane.
Clarification: Released Heat depends on the specific heat of vapor( as vapor coolens), not upon the specific heat of water droplets. :-)
