First collision

There are two objects A A ( 15 m 15 \text{ m} above ground) and B B ( 10 m 10 \text{ m} above ground) on a straight line perpendicular to the ground. A A is thrown straight downward with a speed of 10 m/s 10 \text{ m/s} and, at the same time, B B starts to fall freely. Find the time that passes until their first collision.

Using the concept of relative acceleration we get acceleration of A =0, velocity of A=10. Velocity and acceleration of B=0,then the distance left to cover is 5m @10m/sec.Time taken 5/10=0.5 sec

USING THE CONCEPT OF TIME OF ACCENT AND DECCENT WE CAN FIND OUT. 1ST APPLYING V=U+AT(U=0) V=1.5 2ND CASE V=AT V=15/1.5 V=10 SUBTRACTING BOTH WE GET 0.5
