White: Be4 (Move 1)

Black: Nd3

White: Qe7 (Move 2)

Checkmate in 2 moves.

Black has many other possible attempts to stop the threatened mate, but there are many different ways for white to checkmate in response.

It was enjoyable for me to find them all, so I will leave it to the reader to do the same.
