We all know that for the formation of compound the energy must be lower than on normal atom. We also know that Noble Gases have a lower than other atoms and it cannot be lowered more by forming a compound. But The problem begins now. Why does Xe forms compounds like XeF2,XeO2F2 etc.

I guess, If i am not wrong, In Neils Brattlet experiment, they found this out! That I.E of Xe similar to that of I.E of O X 2 \ce{O2}
