First, the dead body starts sinking in the water as the air in the lungs get replaced with the water.
The body remains in the water, till the bacteria in the guts and chest cavity starts producing the various gases like methane, hydrogen sulphide, and carbon-dioxide.
As we all know, balloon filled with air do not submerged in the water. Similarly, an air filled dead body do not remain in the water. As a result, it floats on the surface of the water..............................................
If anyone like my answer then please reply to me....ok.

Yes ofcourse sir..!!

As the gases start evolving inside the body, they increase the volume of the body while expanding as a result the net buoyant force increases & the dead body starts floating.
