Calculate the volume occupied by 1 m o l e \ce{1 mole} of an unknown gas at a temperature of 300 K \ce{300 K} and pressure of 1 a t m \ce{1 atm}

(Molar volume of the gas at Standard Temperature and Pressure ( S T P ) (STP) = 22.4 L 22.4\text{ L} .

Note : The volume must be in terms of liters.

The answer is 24.63.

P V = n R T PV = nRT (Ideal gas equation) 1 a t m × V = 1 m o l × 0.0821 L a t m K 1 m o l e 1 × 300 K 1 atm \times V = 1 mol \times 0.0821LatmK^{-1}mole^{-1} \times 300K V = ( 0.0821 × 300 ) L V = (0.0821 \times 300) L V = ( 8.21 × 3 ) L V = (8.21 \times 3) L V = 24.63 L V = 24.63 L

If anyone can just clear the mess of latex made by me, I would be grateful!

We can also use P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2 right?
