What are the two products formed during the complete combustion of fossil fuels?

C O X 2 \ce{CO2} and H X 2 O \ce{H2O} C O X 2 \ce{CO2} and H X 2 \ce{H2} C O \ce{CO} and H X 2 \ce{H2} H X 2 O \ce{H2O} and C O \ce{CO}

You should mention "complete combustion" otherwise there may be a confusion regarding C O X 2 \ce{CO_2} and C O \ce{CO} .

Thanks for correction, I have edited the problem accordingly!

Exactly why people can kill themselves with CO poisoning when they lock themselves in a running car in a closed space..say a garage.

Fossil fuels are generally the hydrocarbons, which when burnt in presence of Oxygen produce C O X 2 \ce{CO2} and H X 2 O \ce{H2O} . For example: C H X 4 + 3 O X 2 C O X 2 + 2 H X 2 O C X 2 H X 6 + 10 O X 2 2 C O X 2 + 3 H X 2 O \ce{CH4} + \ce{3O2} \rightarrow \ce{CO2} + \ce{2H2O}\\\ce{C2H6} + \ce{10O2} \rightarrow \ce{2CO2} + \ce{3H2O}

Nice.....I could have written these reactions...but you know how good I am @ latex
