in the earth's CRUST oxygen is the most abundant element............ in it's atmosphere nitrogen is the most abundant element ! got it ! if you don't believe search on Google

Interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that. What kind of oxide is so abundant?

Silicates are the primary component of soil which is nothing but compounds of Oxygen and Silicon.
